[Stephen Humphreys Villiers].  American clergyman and author, born on the 9th of June 1840, near Canterbury, England; educated at Jesus College, Cambridge; ordained deacon in 1875; priest, 1876; for a time was professor of Latin at Hobart College, Geneva, NY, and held rectorships in Buffalo, NY; Toledo, OH; and Springfield, IL. He published A Handbook of Charity Organization (1882); What is Charity Organization? (1879; reprinted 1880, 1881 and 1882); The Arthurian Epic (1895).
