1695. Alingham, Geom. Epit., 17. An Aliquant part is a lesser Number in respect of a greater, when it doth not measure it exactly, as 3 is an aliquant part of 7, because it is not contained precisely any Number of times in 7. [Similarly in Johnson, Ash, Craig, etc.]
