Also Elaidic ethers: a name for two oily liquids, Elaidate of Ethyl (C18 H22 O2 · C2 H5) and Elaidate of Methyl (C16 H23 O2 · CH2), prepared from elaidic acid and alcohol. So Elaidate [see -ATE4], a salt of elaidic acid. Elaidin [see -IN], a solid isomeric modification of olein, produced by the action of nitrous acid on olein.
