Path. [mod. L., f. Gr. ξανθός yellow + ἔλασμα metal plate.] = XANTHOMA. Also attrib. Hence Xanthelasmic a. = XANTHOMATOUS; ǁ Xanthelasmoidea [see -OID], a disease resembling xanthelasma, which leaves yellowish or brownish patches on the skin; also called vitiligoidea.
