Mr. Alexander M’Kee was descending the Mississippi in a Kentucky boat, while lying-too near the Iron banks, she took fire in his absence, and before he could render any assistance was entirely consumed. 1806. A Kentuckey boat is described by Thomas Ashe, ‘Travels in America,’ i. 167–8 (Lond., 1808).
