[pseudonym of Rebecca Sophia Clarke]. American authoress, born in Norridgewock, ME, on the 22nd of February 1833. She has written stories for young people; among her best are Little Prudy Stories (1864); Dotty Dimple Stories (1868); Flaxie Frizzle Stories (1876–84); and Quinnebasset Girls (1877).
