French musical composer, born at Ciboure, France, on the 7th of March 1875, and received his musical education at the Paris conservatoire, under Fauré, Pessard and Bériot. His compositions include, besides songs, pianoforte music, and chamber music, the Schéhérazade overture (1911), Rhapsodie Espagnole (1907), and the one-act opera L’Heure Espagnole (1007), first produced at Covent Garden in 1919.
