American poetess, born in Bedford, MA; died in Matanzas, Cuba, on the 11th of November 1845. Her father was a man of literary tastes, which she inherited. At the age of nineteen she wrote lyrics and a metrical romance. She published Judith, Esther, and Other Poems, by a Lover of the Fine Arts; Zophiël; Idomen, or the Vale of Yumuri; and an Ode to the Departed.
