[Jr.]. Author and Unitarian minister, born in Massachusetts, on the 13th of January 1834; graduated at Harvard in 1852, and in 1854 became pastor of a Unitarian church in Brewster, MA; moved to New York, 1866; wrote boys’ books, i.e., Paul Preston’s Charge; Do and Dare; has also published lives of Webster, Lincoln and Garfield.
