American author, wife of the George Lewis Prentiss; born in Portland, ME, on the 26th of October 1818. She was married in 1845. Among her publications are Little Susie Series (1853–56); The Home at Greylock (1876); and Stepping Heavenward (1869). She died in Dorset, VT, on the 13th of August 1878.
