American poetess, born at Strong, ME, on the 9th of October 1832. In 1886 she published, over the pseudonym of “Florence Percy,” The Silver Bridge, and Other Poems. In 1860 she married the sculptor Paul Akers, and after his death, E. M. Allen, of New York. See also “Rock Me to Sleep,” etc.
