Author, born in Boston, MA, on the 13th of February 1838. He was successively a clerk, a theological student, a florist and a journalist. He was editor of Vox Humana, and assistant editor of the Boston Journal of Commerce, Boston Post, and editor of World’s Work Department in the Century. He wrote many short stories, and among his published books are My Ten-Rod Farm; The Soprano; and Knights of To-day. He was also the author of operas and dramas.
