Bernhard Molique (1802–1869)

[Wilhelm Bernhardt].  German violinist and composer, born at Nuremberg on the 7th of October 1802, and learnt the violin at Munich under Pietro Rovelli. In 1826 he became music-director at Stuttgart. As a composer for the violin Molique was commonly compared with Spohr. He also wrote some charming songs. He died at Cannstadt in 1869.
