1868.  Watts, Dict. Chem., IV. 195. Triolein is liquid at 100°. In contact with the air it gradually turns acid. Ibid. (1873), Fownes’ Chem. (ed. 11), 626. Oleic acid forms three glycerides, viz. monolein…; diolein…; and triolein (C3H5) (C18H33O2)3, which are produced by heating oleic acid and glycerin together.
