v. Physiol. [f. L. supīnāt-, pa. ppl. stem of supīnāre, f. supīnus SUPINE a.] trans. To turn (the hand or fore limb) so that the back of it is downward or backward; also, to turn (the leg) outwards. Opposed to PRONATE.
