1659. Dr. R. Robinson, in Sir T. Browne, Wks. (1835), I. 423. About us they [jelly-fish] are generally called squalders, but are indeed evidently fishes, although not described in any Ichthyology I have yet mett with.
a. 1682. Sir T. Browne, Norf. Fishes, Ibid. IV. 333. Sea stars in great plenty…. Whether they be bred out of the urticus, squalders, or sea jellies, as many report, we cannot confirm.
