(sc. animālia): see ANNULOSE.] The ANNULOSE animals, one of Prof. Huxleys primary groups, containing such as crustaceans, insects, and worms, which have a more or less firm external skeleton, composed of a series of rings. They comprehend the higher Articulata of earlier zoologists.
