1861. Ramsay, Remin., Ser. II. p. xxix. I recollect asking an old man who was complaining of his fare, why he did not eat his loaf which was on the table. I can t eatun, zur; it be soa vinny. I discovered that he meant mouldy; and I found from Rask, vinny to be a pure Anglo-Saxon word.
