Pathol. [mod.L., a. Gr. ἐκχύμωσις, f. ἐκχυμόεσθαι to extravasate blood, f. ἐκ out + χυλός juice.]
A blotch caused by extravasation of blood below the skin (Syd. Soc. Lex.).
