Path. [L., a. Gr. κυνάγχη, f. κυν- dog- + ἄγχειν to strangle, throttle: cf. QUINSEY.] A name for diseases of the throat, characterized by inflammation, swelling, and difficulty of breathing or swallowing; esp. QUINSY.
