nonce-wd. [f. CUB sb.1 + -DOM.] The state of being a cub.

1

1872.  Evening Gaz., 8 Jan., 2/5. This savage beast [a lion] was whelped in the menagerie, in its cub-dom was allowed to range at will through the enclosure, and had in its playful moments gamboled with Mrs. Manders.

2

1892.  Baring-Gould, in Cornh. Mag., Dec., 562. He is, I do allow, a little cubbish—has, in spite of his age, never grown quite out of cubdom.
