[app. Sp. or Pg., dim. of coca shell: cf. F. coquille shell of nuts, almonds, etc.; cf. COQUILLO.] In Coquilla-nut, the nut of the Brazilian palm-tree, Attalea funifera, the thick hard shell of which is much used by turners.
