So Convallarin, an acrid purgative glucoside C34H52O11 obtained from Lily of the Valley. Convallamaretin, Convallaretin, products of the action of dilute acids on convallamarin and convallarin, respectively.
18637. Watts, Dict. Chem., Convallamarin is obtained by diluting and filtering the mother-liquor from which the convallarin has separated Nitric acid colours convallamarin yellow; alkalis decompose it, with separation of convallamaretin.
