Zool. [mod.L., invented by Cuvier; cf. Gr. κέστρα name of a kind of fish, also κέστρος sharpness, and ἀκή point.] A kind of shark now peculiar to Australia; the Port Jackson shark. It has sharp teeth in front, and flat pavement-like teeth behind, and has a spine in front of each dorsal fin.
