[L. canna reed, CANE, taken in Bot. as the name of an entirely different genus.] A genus of endogenous plants (N.O. Marantaceæ), with brightly colored flowers, yellow, red, or orange, and ornamental foliage, natives of warm climates, but cultivated in Britain.
