Obs. rare. [Cf. BUM-CARD.] A leaf of paper with a slip projecting from the edge (in a book used for a conjuring trick); it served a similar purpose to that of the ‘bum-card,’ being intended to enable the conjuror to open the book, as if by accident, at the right places.
